THANKS FOR BEING HONEST WITH YOURSELF

A couple of thoughts to consider …………

What are your objections?

RECORD YOUR OBJECTIONS AND THINK THROUGH EACH OBJECTION WITH AN OPEN MIND

Many choose not to follow because of a particular vice.

  • It may be alcohol.

  • It may be an inappropriate relationship.

  • It may be becoming a part of something that you have rejected in the past.

  • It may be because Christians don’t _________OR they do _________ (fill in the blank)

  • It may be admitting that you were wrong in the past. Pride.

  • Other reasons

Be encouraged.

As you read earlier, Jesus asked each one of us to count the cost. There is a definite and real cost to follow; but, know that there is a “different cost” to do your own thing.

  1. Identify the cost(s) that seem exorbitant.

  2. Ask the Lord to reveal Himself to you.

The best approach may be to begin reading a book in the New Testament. Our Pastor recommends the Gospel according to Mark first and then the Gospel according to John secondly. Read a chapter a day, at least. Ask for truth as you read His word.

PLEASE CONTINUE WITH THE EXTRA MATERIAL IN MODULE 2.

TALK TO YOUR PARENTS, A PASTOR OR A CHRISTIAN PERSON THAT APPEARS TO BE AUTHENTIC IN HIS OR HER FAITH.

FINALLY, PLEASE WORK THROUGH THE REMAINING MODULES AS THEY MAY ADDRESS OR RESOLVE YOUR OBJECTIONS.
